It is clear the decor hasn't been updated in a few decades, but the number of amenities offered outweighed that. Also, because it clearly used to be an apartment building there is a lot of space in the hotel room. Many Tokyo hotel rooms are about 80% bed. There is very little space to walk around, but this had plenty of room for two people.

The hotel was right next door to the okaya train station. It was also close to lake suwa, which was a great walk. We also hired bicycles and that was great to get around the entire lake. The staff at hotel were good. The breakfast was awesome and very tasty. We did not find any issue with this hotel. But we are low maintenance travellers.

The hotel is quite old and looks unimpressive from outside, but the rooms as spacious,, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good. Staff helpful.
